This is my profile page and my story is as follows: After Springs, I went to Stetson University and roomed with my best friend, Lisa Wever for two years. She went off to Spain and I got married and was the house mother for Pi Kappa Alpha for two years. That was fun... After graduation in '73 and a car-trip around the US, we moved to my uncle's greyhound farm in Madison, FL. Didn't like the country so during the gas crisis in '74, my first husband, Toby, and I moved to his home town of Guilford, CT and bought our first home in Clinton, CT a few years later. In '77, we moved to Boston but were snowed out during the blizzard of '78 and moved to Reno, NV where we had a fine baby boy, Ryan, in 1979 and got divorced in 1980. Que sera, sera. I moved to Sacramento, CA after a month long trip along the East coast from Boston to St. Croix visiting old friends and a month in Kentucky with my family who left Florida after I went to Stetson. Have been in Sacramento since 1980-love it although its about as far away from Hialeah as I could be. That's why you have to go to the reunions!! With a degree in Sociology, I've had a career in accounting, mainly in the produce (fresh fruits and vegetables) industry in CA. I met my husband, Garry, a produce broker at the time, at my company's Christmas party and we married in 1987. My son grew up into a thoughtful young man who received his Master of Arts in Ceramics. He is also a fine musician. My husband started his own produce business in 1997 and loves working, fishing and relaxing in the sun. I took a break from produce and worked at Sacramento Theatre Company for 4 years (as their accountant...) I had a great time at the theatre and met a lot of very creative people.. When Garry started G & S Fresh, I had to get back to produce but now I am retired basically and pursue many (did I say many) hobbies: weaving, fused glass, gardening, languages, collecting and reading..Took up quilting a few years ago.Currently I'm into knitting. I led tours for Art in Public Places in Sacramento for 5 years and learned a lot. And did I mention I have cats. Lots of cats. I love cats. I am also politically active since retiring. I went to Obama's first and second inaugurations and the Peace Balls sponsored by Democracy Now! - Amy Goodman.
